This carved stone sculpture symbolises the act of nurture by depicting an adult manu/bird with four chicks, placed on a rock plinth. It was commissioned for the Te Awamutu Sculpture Park, a project developed by the ‘Keep Te Awamutu Beautiful Society’ volunteer group to mark the year 2000 millennium celebrations.
