Description
Part of a set of 3 tōtara carvings created in the same year: 'Guardian'; 'Pare - Waikato, Raukawa, Wairere'; and 'Matauranga'.
In this piece, ‘Guardian’, the wero (warrior) embodies guardianship and symbolises a challenge to all students who come to the WMS.
